The Gust lab studies how cancer treatment and inflammation affect the developing brain to develop methods of immunotherapy therapy as safely as possible.

Dr. Gust and other Seattle Children’s leading researchers were among the first to publish groundbreaking, influential findings on the neurocognitive side effects of immunotherapies. Her lab continues to lead foundational research and bold collaborations, shifting the focus from survival alone to survival without cognitive compromise.
