Comprehensive and Coordinated Clinical Care

Dr. Sarah Leary directs the Brain Tumor Program team at Seattle Children’s. The team includes experts in neuro-oncology, neurosurgery, radiation oncology and palliative care. These experts work together to plan and give care to our patients with brain or spinal cord tumors.

We treat all types of brain and spinal cord tumors, both benign and malignant. We provide compassionate care for your child from diagnosis through all phases of treatment and follow-up survivor care.

The entire team reviews cases from around the world weekly at our Brain Tumor Board meetings. Their feedback helps doctors and patients who would like a second opinion or who are deciding whether to travel to Seattle for care.

To request that the Brain Tumor Board review your child’s case, please have your child’s doctor email us at the Cancer and Blood Disorders Center or contact us at 206-987-2106.

We are scientific leaders within consortiums focused on the study of DIPG and DMG. We provide clinical trials for children with CNS tumors through The Children’s Brain Tumor Network, the CONNECT consortium, All-In DIPG, and the Pacific Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Consortium (PNOC).
