Kate MacDuffie, MA, PhD
Dr. MacDuffie is an investigator in the Treuman Katz Center for Pediatric Bioethics and Palliative Care and Assistant Professor in the UW Department of Pediatrics. She holds a BS in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan, PhD in Clinical Psychology from Duke University, and MA in Bioethics from the University of Washington.
Dr. MacDuffie uses a combination of qualitative, quantitative and conceptual research methods in her work. She is a consultant for the ITHS Research Bioethics Consultation Service and engages in teaching and mentoring.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking in the beautiful Washington woods with her family and dog.
