The Chat - A Free Puberty Class for Caregivers + Teens
The Chat allows 10- to 12-year-olds and their parent, guardian or caregiver a safe place to talk about puberty, growing up and the changes ahead — with expert guidance, humor and practical tools. Lunch and childcare will be provided.
Families will learn:
- How puberty changes our bodies, including growth, skin, hair, breast development and periods
- How the adolescent brain develops, including emotions, confidence and decision-making
- How to navigate crushes, consent, sexuality, reproduction, and healthy relationships
- How to have open supportive family conversations about growing up
