"My work as a pediatric electrophysiologist involves taking care of children with heart rhythm disorders. The field of electrophysiology is so exciting because it has undergone tremendous technological advancements in the past 15 years. These advancements now allow us, in many cases, to cure heart rhythm disorders safely and in ways never before possible. It is a great example of medical technology directly impacting quality of life, and I greatly enjoy being a part of that."

  • Biography

    Stephen Seslar, MD, PhD is attending pediatric cardiologist and pediatric electrophysiologist at Seattle Childrens Hospital and is assistant professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He is co-directs the arrhythmia care of adults with congenital heart disease at the University of Washington. He earned his MD and PhD at Georgetown University, Washington DC. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of California, San Diego.

    Dr. Seslar completed his pediatric cardiology fellowship followed by an advanced electrophysiology fellowship at Boston Childrens Hospital in Massachusetts. Seslar has expertise and training in pediatric cardiology, electrophysiology and pacemaker implantation. Specific areas of clinic interest include medical informatics, databases design and arrhythmia care in children and adults with congenital heart disease.
