Biography

Laurie C. Eldredge, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine and an attending physician at Seattle Childrens Hospital. She earned her MD and PhD at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. She completed pediatrics residency training and a fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at the University of Washington.

She is enthusiastically committed to providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary, team-based, and family-centered care for her patients with chronic respiratory conditions. She is also committed to teaching the next generation of physicians through interactions with our talented pediatrics residents.

She is a scientist at the Benaroya Research Institute and UW Center for Lung Biology and a member of the SCH Center for Clinical and Translational Research. Her primary research focus is in the pathogenesis of Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, also known as Chronic Lung Disease of Prematurity. Specifically, she is working to understand the roles of monocytes and epithelial cells in the development of this inflammatory lung disease.
