"The connection between nutrition and health is my passion. I was drawn to caring for children with intestinal failure by the challenges they face getting the nutrition they need to survive and thrive. Restoring a child's intestinal function is a long and intense journey. Once a child goes home from the hospital, parents are often overwhelmed by the care their child needs to continue making progress. I love helping them from start to finish. They become part of our family in the intestinal rehabilitation program and we become part of theirs. When a child can finally digest their food and absorb nutrients like other children, we all celebrate."
