Biography

Dr. Leggett grew up in Northern California, attending the University of California, Davis for college. After graduating from the Medical College of Virginia in 2003 with his medical degree, he returned to the west coast for his Pediatrics training at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). After residency, he was a community physician in West Los Angeles before returning to CHLA as a Pediatric Hospitalist.

Dr. Leggett joined the medical staff of Seattle Children's Hospital as a Pediatric Hospitalist in 2011. He enjoys taking care of children with medical complexity, and is currently serving as the Medical Director of the Medically Complex Child Service ("MCC"). During his non-clinical time, Dr. Leggett is focused on improving hospital systems and care delivery through his role as a medical informaticist. Dr. Leggett is continually humbled by his patients. He appreciates the privilege of caring for his patients, and the opportunity to help medical students and residents improve their clinical decision-making and communication skills with patients and families.
