  • Biography

    Alisa Van Cleave, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She is an attending physician in the Pediatric ICU, as well as an attending physician on the Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT). Dr. Van Cleave earned her MD from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 2007.

    Alisa Van Cleave, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She is an attending physician in the Pediatric ICU, as well as an attending physician on the Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT). Dr. Van Cleave earned her MD from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 2007. She completed general pediatrics residency and pediatric critical care fellowship at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford University from 2007 to 2013. She then returned to Seattle to complete a final year of fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the University of Washington. She is board certified in general pediatrics, and board eligible in pediatric critical care medicine and palliative medicine. She is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine as well as the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Her scholarly work focuses on improving communication between clinicians and families in the Pediatric ICU.
